Dr. Ashley Baker
Dr. Ashley Baker is a 2009 graduate of Kansas State University. Upon graduation, she moved to Thibodaux, Lousiana, working in an animal hospital that served large and small animals, including exotic pets. After 3 years there, she moved back to the Kansas City area to be closer to family and to raise her daughter, Harlow.
Dr. Baker enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but takes a special interest in dermatology and internal medicine.
Horseback riding is her favorite activity, and she has 4 horses. This includes her childhood pony, Buddy, that is now her daughter’s pony to ride (for 1 or 2 years!) Dr. Baker has 1 Australian Shepherd, Sydney. Her other hobbies include interior decorating, planting flower beds, and reading (when Harlow allows).
I am a mother of three children, two girls and one boy. Our home is guarded by two dachshunds and three cats. My hobbies include fishing, camping, and spending time with my kids.
I have worked at Raymore Veterinary Center Since 2011. I grew up on a farm in Raymore, showing horses and cattle and graduated from Raymore Peculiar High school. I currently am attending Longview Community College. In my spare time I show horses.
I have been at Raymore Veterinary Center as a Registered Veterinary Technician since I graduated from Maple Woods in 2016. I have one dog, one cat and one lovely child. I love spending time with my family and my animals. I also have a passion for fishing and riding four wheelers.
I have worked in the veterinary medical field since 1996. The first two years, I assisted at an emergency clinic, which was a great learning experience. For the past 20 years, I have worked with Raymore Veterinary Center assisting in small animal medicine and surgery.
I have four daughters and one mischievous dog. I am definitely a dog person but love all animals. I really enjoy my job and can’t imagine doing anything else.
For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for and fascination with animals, which allowed me to develop a profound respect for life in general. I studied Biological Sciences and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in December 2009. My eventual goal is to perform non-invasive research on animal species, preferably aquatic or marine. I consider myself fortunate to work in a field that always presents surprises and unique situations.
I’ve had a love and passion for helping animals since I was a child. I’ve worked in both general and emergency veterinary hospitals for the past 8 years and have studied zoology and biology. I have 2 German Shepherds, 4 cats, 2 Amazon parrots, a all python, 2 crested geckos, 3 pet rats, and various aquariums.
I’ve been at RVC since 2015, and took some time to work at an emergency clinic which was a great learning experience. I will always have a place in my heart for ER but I love my Raymore family. Working in this field has allowed me to form bonds with people and their beloved pets which I am truly grateful for. I have 3 spoiled rotten dogs and 1 cat of my own that have me very well trained.
